DESCRIPTION
We are proud to collaborate with the Shooting for Women Alliance (SFWA) and SCCY Firearms to offer this special edition holster that celebrates the spirit of the SCCY DVG-1: Patriot Edition.
Built on our premium Ventcore 2.0 platform technology that features our latest advancements in comfort and ventilation, you will be able to carry your DVG-1 all day, comfortably, in all types of weather. The Patriot Edition holster features our USA flag print in a black-and-white colorway and a special woven tag emblazoned with the SFWA Patriot logo.
We have five holster models in our Ventcore 2.0 line of holsters. Read on to see which one is best for your needs!
- The Ventcore 2.0 IWB Mini is our most popular holster. It's designed to be worn inside-the-waistband (IWB) right behind your hip. If you imagine a clock, and your belt buckle is 12 o'clock, if you're right-handed you would wear the IWB Mini between the 3-5 o'clock position. If you're left-handed, you would wear it between the 7-9 o'clock position. The IWB Mini platform is approximately 80% more narrow than our IWB Standard position. Many of our customers prefer this smaller footprint for all day comfort.
- The Ventcore 2.0 IWB Standard holster is approximately 20% wider than its IWB Mini counterpart. For the DVG-1: Patriot Edition, the overall width of the IWB Standard is 9.5 inches. The wider width does improve both the actual and perceived weight distribution of the firearm along your belt line. If you value weight distribution more than the smaller footprint of the IWB MINI, then the IWB Standard is for you.
- The Ventcore 2.0 Appendix IWB (AIWB) holster is the smallest holster we offer. It's designed to be worn in the "appendix" position. Typically, this is between 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock (11 o'clock to 12 o'clock for left-handed shooters). All training equal, this position is slightly faster to draw from but it is also the most sensitive to body type and body position (ie, sitting or hunched over).
- The Ventcore 2.0 Appendix IWB PLUS holster is our AIWB holster with a mag carrier attachment. The mag carrier is attached via a highly flexible and durable Tegris strut. The mag carrier is removable.
- The Ventcore 2.0 OWB FLEX holster is designed to be worn on your belt outside-the-waistband (OWB). What sets our OWB FLEX holster apart from all other OWB holsters on the market is our FLEX Technology design. A flexible Tegris wing on each side of the OWB holster shell draws the holster tight against your body. This aids in concealment as our OWB FLEX holster can easily conceal under a light shirt or sweatshirt. It also improves comfort as our holster adapts to the shape of your waist - as opposed to other OWB holsters on the market that are set to a generic shape and force the user to fit into the shape of the holster.
