SES-02 Soft Cell Extraction Shield

The SES-02 is constructed using lightweight synthetic materials for durability and is available in Black or Navy with other colours by negotiation. It has a series of ten web handles located around the perimeter of the operator side of the shield that allows for multiple grip angles to be utilised.

Construction: Insert

The SES-02's soft insert is constructed using various densities of foam, which provides the shield with the ability to be used as restraining/confining device while ensuring that harm to the individual is minimised. The SES-02 features an Inter-Layer of stab-resistant material that offers the operator a level of protection from the penetration of edged or sharpened objects that may be used as weapons during the restraining procedure. This flexible Stab-Resistant inter-layer is centrally located between the inner and outer layers of foam. This has been specifically designed to minimise the risk of injury to both individual and the operator from sharp or hard edges protruding from the shield’s cover. SES-02 has been tested in accordance with NIJ STD 0115.00 procedures for knife resistance to Level 1. The SES-02 meets the requirements for this standard however we cannot provide certification to this standard as it only applies to items that will be worn as body armour. Optional removable covers manufactured from lightweight durable materials for SES-02 allow for ease of maintenance and cleaning where the possibility of bodily fluids and blood-borne pathogens are present. The removable covers are available in packs of ten for convenience.
