Eberlestock Brute Scout

The Brute Series was developed for dedicated western hunters who need a complete, “out-of-the-box” system that has all of the required features for quick day hunts and extended backcountry stays.

The Brute Scout is a low-profile day pack designed to carry all your essentials when scouting, hiking ridgelines, or doing quick spot-and-stalks. The lightweight design of the Brute Scout keeps you agile, allowing you to quickly adapt to any situation on the mountain. 

The shoulder harness is built with air-mesh padding, which promotes airflow and helps regulate your body temperature by dissipating heat as you move. This increase in airflow helps reduce the amount of sweat on your back and shoulders, allowing you to stay drier during early-season hunts. The padded shoulder harness and chest strap help distribute the weight of heavier loads, reducing the strain on your shoulders during extended wear.

The Brute Scout has 1800 cubic inches of storage space, a hydration hanger, and multiple exterior pockets. On top of the Scout, there is a quick-access pocket for items like tools, gloves, or survival kits. A front stretch zipper pocket delivers storage for larger essentials like game calls, trail cams, and snacks. Each side of the pack has a deep half-stretch water bottle pocket with a bungee cord for retention that easily fits your Nalgene or trekking poles. There are two compression straps across the front of the Scout, giving you a secure way to carry a tripod, bow, or sheds. 

The internal frame sheet has an integrated aluminum stay that delivers structure and support when you’re carrying heavier loads. With the internal frame, you’ll have a more natural posture when hiking, which provides comfort and helps reduce fatigue over long distances. 

For additional support, you can add the Cradle Hip Belt to the Brute Scout to improve the weight distribution and load balance of the pack. The Cradle Hip Belt will place the weight of the pack on your hips, which will increase your endurance when side-hilling a mountain or hiking up elevation.
