North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet Gen 7 CAT TQ

The North American Rescue Combat Application CAT Tourniquet (CAT 30-0001) Medical Tactical Tourniquet. The only Tourniquet issued to the US Defence Force. Available in Australia from Tactical Gear Australia suppliers of Tactical Medical equipment to protect the protectors. Australia wide shipping.

The North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet (C.A.T TQ Tourniquet) features single routing buckle for faster application, decreased blood loss, effective slack removal, and fewer windlass turns. Reinforced windlass rod with increased diameter for enhanced strength and aggressive ribbing for improved grip. Bilateral windlass clip for rapid windlass lock and bilateral buttress for added strength. Reinforced stabilization plate with beveled contact bar. Signature red elliptical tip (Red Tip Technology) provides visual cue during application. Patented, free-moving internal band for true evenly distributed circumferential pressure. Blue model is for training purposes only.

The CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet) is a small and lightweight arterial tourniquet that completely occludes blood flow in an extremity. Used for the treatment of life-threatening bleeding, the C.A.T Tourniquet uses a Self-Adhering Band and a Friction Adaptor Buckle to fit a wide range of extremities combined with a one-handed windlass system. The windlass uses a free moving internal band to provide true circumferential pressure to an extremity. The windlass is then locked in place; this requires only one hand, with the Windlass Clip. The C.A.T Tourniquet also has a Hook-and-Loop Windlass Strap for further securing of the windlass during patient transport.

The fastest, safest, most effective prehospital tourniquet!
Exceeds the new ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2021 Standard for tourniquets!
Noted as the best prehospital tourniquet in the February 2008 supplement of The Journal of Trauma The patented C-A-T® is a true one-handed tourniquet proven to be 100% effective by the U.S. Army’s Institute of Surgical Research. Tests proved that the CAT completely occluded blood flow of an extremity in the event of a traumatic wound with significant hemorrhage. The Gen 7 CAT utilizes a durable windlass system with a patented free-moving internal band providing true circumferential pressure to the extremity. Once adequately tightened, bleeding will cease and the windlass is locked into place. A hook and loop windlass retention strap is then applied, securing the windlass to maintain pressure during casualty evacuation. The patented Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®) featuring the proprietary red tip design and the mechanical advantage of a band within a band has been the Official Tourniquet of the U.S. Army since 2005. The innovations in the CAT are protected by U.S. Patent Nos. 7,842,067 and 7,892,253.
